Exploring capabilities of the XZZX cluster state

I introduced the XZZX cluster state as a resource to perform measurement-based quantum computing (MBQC) in the presence of biased noise. This can be useful for certain architectures, such as dual-rail photons interacting with coherent state bus modes. However, in many architectures that are based on MBQC, the dominant sources of errors aren't Pauli noise. For example, in dual-rail photonic systems, the primary error is entangling failures. Yet in some cases, these errors "look like" biased noise, from a certain point of view, and can be more efficiently corrected with the XZZX cluster state. I'm exploring the capabilities of the XZZX cluster state to outperform other error-correction strategies for hardware-realistic noise. I'm also investigating qubits that are typically not considered in the measurement-based model, but for whom the capabilities of the XZZX cluster state may make MBQC an attractive option.
